Hi, I'm Jim. My full name is James Robert Porterfield. I'm the second child and oldest son of James Robert and Delphie D. Porterfield. Someday I'll find a picture of me that I like and put it on here, but that hasn't occurred yet.
I have great plans for this web site, but I also have too many distractions. My apologies to you who like regular updates. Regular for me is whenever I
- Have Time
- Have Inspiration
- Have something worthwhile (more-or-less) to say
- Don't have something to fix around the house
- Am not behind on preparing for upcoming worship services
- Am caught up with all my seminary work
- ... and can't find any other excuse not to get to work on the content.
The purpose of this web site is to allow me to share with you useful or inspirational information regarding physical fitness, music, and spiritual truth. It is my intent that, along the way, something I put here will bring a smile to your face and encouragement to your heart.
For now, all I have is Porterfield's Principles of Productive Parsing, part of a paper I wrote for a "Church Music Education" class. The topic was "The Ideal Music Minister" and the sub-topic was "Organizational Skills." I hope you appreciate the insight. Jim.
